Afaque Jaya · Senior Mobile & Full-Stack Engineer

Engineering mobile experiences. Building products that matter.

I’m Afaque Jaya — a senior engineer with 7+ years shipping Flutter, React Native and native apps for FinTech, e-commerce, logistics and government ed-tech. I take products from 0→1, wire them to solid APIs, and lead teams across borders to get them into the stores.

How to read these: the Google Play figure comes from the public store listing. The percentages are my own project reporting from each role — comparisons made at the time, not independent audits — and the underlying measurements aren’t published here. How the work actually got done.

Three engagements, opened like case files: the challenge, what I built, and what changed.

    4.1 E-commerce & logistics · Doha, Qatar · 2022 – 2024

A grocery platform built from zero to one.

    Software Engineer · Jeeb E-Commerce & Logistics (start-up)

    • 95%faster homepage load

    • +60%delivery speed
    • +20%delivery & checkout efficiency
    01

    The challenge

A fast-growing Qatari start-up needed an omnichannel grocery and logistics platform — customer app, operations apps and the delivery chain behind them — fully in Arabic, built directly with the founders.

    02

    What I built

    • Server-driven homepage — merchandising changes without an app release
    • Algolia instant search instead of in-house search
    • GPS tracking, route optimisation and secure payments
    • Driver, Collector & Storekeeper apps with a remote team I led
    03

    The result

A homepage that loads 95% faster and lifted engagement by 50%, with deliveries 60% faster and checkout 20% more efficient.

Portrait of Afaque Jaya EST. 2019
Open to senior roles & 0→1 builds

I build products from the mobile interface to the systems that power them.

From shipping apps at scale to building AI-powered systems.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience building and shipping mobile products across e-commerce, fintech, logistics, and government projects.

My work spans Flutter, native Android with Kotlin and Java, iOS with Swift, backend APIs, and full-stack development. I’ve worked on production applications, server-driven experiences, payment integrations, real-time logistics, and scalable product workflows.

More recently, I’ve been exploring AI-powered applications, MCP integrations, and AI assistants that connect language models to real application data and business workflows.

I enjoy owning the complete engineering journey — from designing a reliable architecture and building the interface to integrating backend systems and shipping a product people can use.
